Look Inside

Overview

I led the engineering of Saizen Acuity's second-generation corporate platform, rebuilding the website as a Python/Flask application rather than another set of WordPress pages. The work combined dynamic content, backend services, REST-based integrations and a responsive frontend for the company's services, specialists, case studies and business enquiries.

What It Delivers

  • A full-stack Flask corporate website with API-connected functionality.
  • Dynamic pages backed by reusable code and structured content.
  • Integrated lead-capture and service-presentation workflows.
  • A maintainable foundation for future modules, expert profiles and external integrations.

What I Did

  • Developed the application architecture in Python and Flask, including request routing, server-side processing and dynamic page delivery.
  • Built REST API connections for exchanging structured information between the website and supporting services.
  • Implemented reusable templates, modular page components and frontend interactions using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Developed data-driven structures for service pages, expert profiles, case studies and company content.
  • Connected enquiry capture and form processing to backend workflows, with integration points for CRM and automation systems.
  • Organised URL routing, page metadata, internal linking and semantic markup for technical SEO.
  • Improved responsive behaviour, frontend loading patterns and consistent rendering across the site.
  • Worked through application configuration, error handling, testing and deployment requirements.
  • Directed the technical build across both backend and frontend rather than treating design and server architecture as separate projects.

Outcomes

  • Page-by-page website construction replaced with a maintainable web-application architecture linking company content, API services and business operations.

Proven Impact

  • One application now serves services, specialists, case studies and enquiries from structured content.
  • Enquiry capture connected to backend workflows with CRM and automation integration points.

Why It Matters

  • Replaced page-by-page website construction with a maintainable web-application architecture linking company content, API services and business operations.
V1 made the company look right. V2 makes the website behave like part of the company.
