Mobile Product & Health Data Platform
Bump4Life
Full-Stack Maternal & Child Health App
Jun 2025 – Present37Tracking categories
Local-first SQLiteData layer
Overview
I co-founded Bump4Life and led its application development from the initial product architecture through frontend, backend, data modelling and AI integration. The platform brings maternal health, pregnancy, postpartum care and child development records into one system instead of disconnected trackers.
What It Delivers
- A working, interconnected application architecture covering both maternal and child records.
- Persistent longitudinal health data rather than isolated daily entries.
- A modular foundation for reporting, reminders, intelligent queries and additional tracking categories.
What I Did
- Built the mobile interface with React Native and Expo, including reusable screens, forms, dashboards and longitudinal record views.
- Designed the backend services and application logic for authentication, structured records, data access and AI-assisted features.
- Implemented a local-first SQLite data layer for responsive tracking and historical queries.
- Structured 37 categories spanning glucose, insulin, medication, nutrition, sleep, exercise, mood, appointments, baby feeding and development.
- Connected record entry, editing, historical review, analytics and personalisation across the frontend and backend.
- Developed supporting signup, onboarding, automated email and workflow integrations.
- Led technical decisions across data schemas, state management, user experience, testing and release preparation.
Outcomes
- Years of family health information kept usable in one place instead of disconnected trackers.
Proven Impact
- 37 tracking categories in one integrated application.
- Maternal and child records connected in a single longitudinal data model.
Why It Matters
- A complete product-engineering effort across mobile UI, backend logic, data persistence and system integration, built to keep years of family health information usable in one place.
Thirty-seven trackers is a burden. One system that remembers all of them is a tool.
