Look Inside

Overview

Student Life Manager was my first major Flask application: one system combining study tools, organisation, wellbeing, finance, nutrition, and AI-assisted interaction. It was also my first lesson in how quickly one “useful app” becomes a much larger product problem.

What It Delivers

  • An AI-powered flashcard generator that converts user topics into relevant questions and answers.
  • A calorie tracker with an AI food assistant providing calories, protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals.
  • A human-style essay generator controlled by topic and word count.
  • A finance manager for accounts, budgets, and transactions, supported by an AI finance advisor.
  • An AI debate tool with selectable stance, topic, difficulty, and visual progress.
  • A student planner, mood tracker, and Pomodoro focus timer.
  • A unified interface demonstrating how several AI tools can coexist inside one practical product.

What I Did

  • Designed the product, feature set, information architecture, interface, backend routes, templates, and AI integrations.
  • Built the application using Flask, Python, HTML, CSS, and external AI APIs.
  • Connected multiple independent feature domains into a single user-facing platform.
  • Handled the project as a full-stack build rather than a collection of disconnected demos.

Outcomes

  • A functioning multi-tool student application built around practical daily use.
  • Direct experience in routing, templating, backend logic, API handling, data organization, and interface design.
  • A reusable architectural base for integrating AI features into conventional web products.
  • A clear transition from small websites into larger full-stack application design.

Proven Impact

  • Completed as the first major Flask-based product in my development journey.
  • Combined eight substantial student-facing tools inside one application.
  • Demonstrated early ability to integrate AI with finance, nutrition, education, debate, productivity, and wellbeing workflows.

Why It Matters

  • Marked the point where I moved from building individual pages into designing complete software systems.
  • Showed that AI features become useful when they are integrated into a clear product experience.
  • Created the full-stack foundation later applied to larger automation and client systems.
Student Life Manager was the first project where my programming, interface, AI, and product instincts had to work together. Technically it was a milestone; more importantly, it was where I started thinking in connected systems.
